Terms of use

What this site is

EV Hotel Guide is a directory of hotels in the United States and Canada reported to offer electric vehicle charging for guests, free or paid. Every listing is reviewed by a person before publication, but charging availability, pricing, and policies can change at any time without our knowledge. Always confirm directly with the hotel before relying on a listing, especially when planning a trip around it.

We're not a booking service

We don't process bookings, payments, or reservations. "Book now" links take you to the hotel's own site or a third-party booking platform. Any booking you make is a transaction between you and that hotel or platform, governed by their own terms — not ours.

Affiliate links and advertising

Some links on this site are affiliate links, and we may show third-party advertising (including through Google AdSense). We may earn a commission or advertising revenue from your use of the site. See our privacy policy for more detail.

Submitting information

If you submit a hotel listing, correction, or other update through our contact form, you confirm it's accurate to the best of your knowledge and give us permission to use, edit, and publish it as part of the directory. Please don't submit false or misleading information.

Accounts and photos you send

You can create a free account to save favourite hotels and send us photos. Keep access to your email account secure, since sign-in links are sent there. We may suspend accounts that misuse the site.

When you send a photo, you confirm that you took it yourself (or otherwise own the rights to it), and that it doesn't show anything unlawful or anyone who hasn't agreed to be in it. You keep the copyright. You give EV Hotel Guide a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish the photo on the site, to resize, crop and re-encode it, and to show it when promoting the site, credited with your chosen public name or as a visitor photo if you chose to stay anonymous. We review every photo and may decline or remove any of them. To have a published photo of yours taken down, contact us and we'll remove it from the site.

Intellectual property

The site's design, logo, and original written content belong to EV Hotel Guide. Hotel names, logos, and photos, where used, belong to their respective owners. Please don't reproduce or redistribute site content without permission.

No warranty

The site and its listings are provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee that any listed hotel currently offers EV charging, that charging marked free is still free, that the site will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that information is complete or current.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EV Hotel Guide and its operator aren't liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, your reliance on any listing, or your dealings with any hotel or third-party site linked from here — including a wasted trip if a listing turns out to be outdated.

Changes

We may update these terms or the site itself at any time. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
